My baby sister is all grown up *tear. I still can’t believe I’m her Maid of Honor. After months of planning, we take over Vegas for her Bachelorette party this weekend! And a few weeks right after, she’ll officially be Mrs. Thai!Β

Spicy Turkey Adobo Sliders
Ingredients
Patties:
- lean ground turkey (I usually get Jennie-O)
- parsley (~1/4 cup - finely chopped)
- canned chipotle peppers in adobo sauce (4 pieces - finely chopped)
- sun tried tomatoes (5 pieces - finely chopped)
- bread crumbs - I like the one with Italian seasoning (about 1/2 cup)
- 1 egg
- 3 garlic cloves (minced)
- cayenne pepper (1/2 teaspoon)
- salt (1/4 teaspoon)
- black pepper (~1/4 teaspoon)Other:
- King’s Hawaiian bread
- extra virgin olive oil
- spinach
- white onion (thinly sliced)
- sharp cheddar cheese
- Your choice of white wine
- crumbled feta cheese
- 1 eggΒ
Directions
1. To make the patties, mix all of the ingredients with about 2 teaspoons of the adobo sauce from the canned chipotles - set in fridge for about 30-45 minutesΒ
2. After letting the meat set, time to prep the patties. Roll them a little bigger than the size of a golf ball, and pat down into a small pattie. I lay out a few on a flat plate, cover with a piece of saran wrap, then make a second row on top of the saran, and repeat until there is no mixture left.
3. Heat your skillet on medium high and coat with oil. Throw the patties on and flip after 4 minutes. After the first flip, pour a little bit of white wine on top and cover. Let it sit for about 5 minutes, then lower to medium heat, cover and cook until the middle isn’t pink anymore - it all depends on how thick you made it (Thoroughly cook! Don’t forget, it’s turkey!)
4. While patties are cooking, cut the Hawaiian bread in half and put into toaster oven. Toast to your preference. I like my bread crispy.
5. On another [small] skillet, coat well with oil - Medium high heat. Once hot enough, carefully crack one egg so it doesn’t spread too much on the pan. I like mine over medium so the yolk breaks when you eat it :) After flipping the first time, I like to turn the heat off, put a lot of cheddar cheese on top, and cover so it melts nicely.
6. Time for presentation! I lay down the egg first, then the pattie right on it. You can then top it with raw spinach and onions, but I like to saute them before setting my plate.Β Afterwards, I put a generous amount of crumbled feta cheese and finally crown my creation with the other piece of toasted King’s Hawaiian bread.
*PHEW, that took forever. Sorry for the humdrum directions and for any (and I’m sure there’s many) grammatical errors. Too lazy to proofread.
Hope you guys enjoy! :)

In Reversal, Komen To Continue Funding Planned Parenthood -
…Komen’s decision to halt funding led to an outpouring of support for Planned Parenthood, including a jump in donations. New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg, for one, pledged up to $250,000 of his own money to the organization to help make up for the money for breast cancer screening.
This is great news, but I’ve lost too much respect to be a part of anything Komen does now… I’m all about the Keep a Breast Foundation!
